During April 2019 a group of students from the
School of the Built Environment and the
School of Architecture visited Brazil to be a part of the
Brazil Urban Design Study 2019.
'
BrookesBUDS (Brazil Urban Design Study) is an extra-curricular activity for students from the Schools of the Built Environment and Architecture from Oxford Brookes University. It focuses on fostering cross-cultural, real-life experiences of urban design for students from Brookes and from partner universities in Brazil' (extract from the BUDS 2019 website). The BrookesBUDS project is an ongoing project which takes place every two years.
Laura Novo De Azevedo who coordinated the trip is Principal Lecturer Student Experience, Senior Lecturer in Planning and Urban Design and Subject Coordinator for the
BA in Urban Design, Planning and Development..and she shared some photos of the trip.

Update: as a result of a request from Lowri Nicholson (BA UDPD), RTPI South East gave a donation towards the funding for the trip and asked in return for an article for their magazine. And here is the link to the article...it's on page 12...
